The descriptions are wonderfully vivid, the characters are relatable while still remaining interesting, the world the author had created is intruiging... this book is just a delight to read! I especially liked the ending- it's definitely not the cliché I would've expected from a dystopian novel like this one, and I was pleasantly surprised at what happened instead. It manages to feel complete without putting more focus on the plot- after all, this book is really about the characters and their burgeoning relationship, not the plot that fills the spaces between the steamy scenes. ;)I was a fan of the author's unpublished works before I read the novel, and my respect for them has only grown since. Writing a story that is both this compelling and satisfying really is a tremendous accomplishment!
Overall, I loved the book. 10/10, would recommend to anyone who's looking for a compelling new romance to read this summer.

Beautifully written. Couldn't put this book down from the first page to the last & was sad when it ended. Can't wait for more from this author!

I absolutely love this story and hope that there's more. Evie and Asher are great characters and I loved how they surprised me. This writer is wonderful and I hope there's more in the future.
This is probably the most sexy story, with an actual plot and believable characters, that I have read! I couldn't put it away, I read it in less then three days ( that's with a full time job and being the single parent of a four year old ;)) Highly recommended. I can't wait for more from Mayer!
That was a wild ride from start to finish, in a very good way. I burned through it in a day and I hope there will be a sequel or five. The world and the characters were unique, but still relatable and the writing flowed well. I'm invested in Evie and Asher and all the rest of the Outliers. The sex scenes were also well written and relevant to the plot line, and the twist on soul mates was a fun addition.
As a newfound fan of the author's Tumblr- It shouldn't come as a surprise that I actually really liked this story. Like most of her other works, the writing style is easy and fun to read. I found myself fully invested in what Evie was feeling and thinking.
The only thing I can think to criticize is that the sex scenes seemed to be very repetitive and almost cliché after the initial training sessions. But I do understand that there are only so many ways to write the same thing.
Overall 4/5 stars from me. I look forward to reading more of her work.
This is a wonderfully developed set of characters in a masterfully built world. I loved that the author worked to construct a world while continuing to move the narrative. The characters are fantastic and full of depth. There are characters you love to hate and characters full of conflict that even YOU don't know what they should do. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a great romance with a phenomenal plot!
